Urban Decay Super Curling Mascara

Urban Decay Super Curling Mascara Review & Photos!
I was really excited to purchase this mascara and to see what the results were! I hadn't seen many reviews on it so I thought it would be a good opportunity to show you myself :)

I really liked the packaging for this product as it came in a cute little box (sorry for the no photo) and the actual mascara tube looks great, it's a sturdy container (obviously don't know what it was made out of *sadface*) and I really liked the swirls on it as it made the tube look fancy and unique. The mascara wand itself is a hard curved plastic one, which captured the product really well on the bristles and there wasn't any clumping on my lashes which was great!

The only problem I had with this mascara was that I have quite curled lashes anyway (oh life is hard! haha) and it just made some of them look a bit odd, but it worked great for my bottom lashes. My tip that I would use for this wand is to dab it on a piece on tissue paper before applying on your bottom lashes, just to make sure there are no clumps - it works a treat! :)

I got this from beautybay and it cost £15, I would probably buy again but just have to wait and see how long this one lasts! :) has anyone else tried this mascara? If so, what's your opinion? xx

MAC Brush Cleanser

MAC Brush Cleanser Review - Before & After

I heard a lot of different views and opinions of this brush cleanser, but I thought I'd give a go anyway as MAC hasn't really let me down before! I haven't tried any other brush cleaners just because I haven't got around to it but I'm sure there's plenty out there. This one retails for £8.50 and I can assume it will last for a very long time.

What I first did was tipped a fair amount of liquid onto some tissue paper (try to layer the paper as you don't want it to rip) and then spin the dirty brush in a circular motion so you get all the makeup off from all angles. As you can tell, the 188 brush was fairly mucky from my liquid foundation, but that doesn't matter as a good cleanser should work through a good amount of build up. From the photo bellow you will see the results which I think is very good! It didn't get absolutely everything off of the brush but bearing in mind I hadn't cleaned it in ages! I  was very impressed with the results and would definitely recommend! :)

MAC Studio Tech

I'm going start this post off by saying I love MAC products so I'm not just slating them for the sake of it! I have oily/combination skin type so I usually stick to oil free liquid foundations with a good powder etc... But I wanted to experiment and try this as a foundation, for me it doesn't work well at all. When I try and do a sort of sheer coverage, I find that It goes on patchy and doesn't cover up any of my red blemishes on my face (I have fairly red cheeks!). So I tried to build more coverage but it just ended up looking almost crumbly on my skin (I had a moisturiser and primer on underneath) which wasn't very pretty! But I was still determined to make this foundation work so I applied a light powder foundation on top but unfortunately this made no difference what so ever. I used NC15 which was chosen by a MAC artist in store so that wasn't why it may have looked strange on my skin.
For me, this didn't work at all and I probably won't be using it again, but I've read many reviews on the Studio Tech and they have nothing but good words to say about it so you never know! I first tried this foundation with my MAC 190 brush and then tried on a separate occasion using my 187 & 188 brush, which ever works best for your skin! If anyone has any suggestions about this foundation then do let me know :)

Ole Henriksen Lip Salvation

Ole Henrikson African Red Tea Exfoliating Lip Salvation - Review.

This really is the best lip balm I have ever used! When you put this on you can feel it exfoliating your lips with tiny tiny beads. In the pot it's kind of like a reddy pink paste which is so easy to use as you just apply as much as you want. I actually originally bought this for my boyfriend as he was complaining one day about having chapped lips... but I fell in love with the product instead! It costs £10 and I bought it from beautybay. It's lasted me for ages and I've had it now for at least half a year and there is still more then 3/4 of it left in the pot, bearing in mind I use this every day! Would definitely recommend anyone to try this.

OPI Alpine Snow & Rainbow Connection

Firstly, sorry about the poor quality photo! I tried to make it better but it clearly didn't work :( I used 2 coats of Alpine Snow & also 2 coats of the Rainbow Connection Glitter (from the Muppets Glitter Collection). I really love these two polishes together and it's very glitzy, dried quickly but a pain to remove! xx

OPI Excuse Moi!

This polish is Excuse Moi from the OPI Muppets Collection which was released in the UK a couple of months ago. I really love this colour as the base is a really nice pinky colour and it has multi coloured pieces of circle glitter in it - greens, purples, blues, oranges... everything! It's an amazing polish and I think my favourite from the Muppets collection, it's a shame it takes so long to remove! But all glitters are the same.

MAC Hue Lipstick

This post is on MAC's lipstick in colour Hue. Apologies for the chapped lips! How embarrassing. The price for all their lipsticks is £13.50 and for this colour I think it is worth it! It goes on so smoothly and has buildable coverage, its a light pink which I wear daily! My definite favourite lipstick. What's your favourite? xx

MAC Plush Lash Mascara

Hello! I thought I'd start on my makeup posts and this one is on MAC Cosmetics Plush Lash Mascara which costs £13.50 which is pricey but there is a lot more expensive ones on the market. It is a fairly large bristle brush which gets a lot of product on. When I first started using this I didn't really like it that much as I usually go for hard plastic brushes as those tend to work better for my lashes, but once you get used to this one it's really fab! The photos don't really do it any justice (I need a new camera) but I used 2 coats. Would recommend :) xx

OPI DS Extravagance

Hello people! This swatch is for the colour Extravagance from OPI's Designer Series collection. This one retails at £16.75 along with all the others. I used 3 coats to achieve this look and in the light this colour is amazing, it glitters so well and makes your nails look pricey! (you'd hope so at the cost of the polish). I think I captured the right colours in the photo but it really does glisten! xx
